Yuka Oishi is a Japanese choreographer and dancer from Sakai City, Osaka.
She studied at the Hamburg Ballet School and joined Hamburg Ballet as an apprentice in 2002,
becoming an official company member in 2003. She was promoted to Soloist in 2010. While dancing with the company, she began choreographing and received the Rolf Mares Prize in 2012 for RENKU, co-created with Orkan Dann.
After leaving the company in 2015, she has worked internationally as a freelance choreographer and dancer. Her works have been created for Béjart Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, and Takarazuka Revue, as well as for artists such as Natalia Osipova, Gil Roman,Sergei Polunin, and Shoko Nakamura.
Based in Osaka, she teaches for the Takarazuka Revue and serves as a Specially Appointed Associate Professor at Osaka University of Arts.
